> Every number on Tool Benchmarks comes from our own test runs. Pages are drafted with AI help, edited for plain language, and checked by a script that rejects any number it cannot find in the published results.

## Where the numbers come from

Rates, counts and scores on this site come from the results file of the latest test run, which you can [download](/data/). A script compares every number in every page against that file before anything is published. A number it cannot trace stops the release until it is fixed or removed. Numbers that are not test results, such as years and model version numbers, are listed by hand for each page and reviewed.

## How the pages are written

We write with AI assistance, using Claude. Drafts are built from the results file, then edited with the open-source [humanizer](https://github.com/blader/humanizer) guidelines, which remove padding and stock phrasing without changing what a sentence says. We say this openly because a site that measures AI detectors should be clear about its own use of AI.

## Money

No detector maker pays us, and we do not sell placements. If we add affiliate links in future, they will be labelled on the page where they appear, and they will not affect rankings, which come only from the test data.

## Mistakes

When we find an error, or someone reports one, we fix the page and record the change on the [corrections page](/corrections/) with the date and what changed.
